Music video: Wizkid ft. Skepta – “Bad Energy”

English rapper Skepta and Afropop Nigerian star boy Wizkid have dropped the sensational video for their joint single titled “Bad Energy”.

Released earlier in the 2018, the power collaboration has eased its way to the top of the charts as the groovy song which has a message for anyone with a negative vibe adequately serves as the perfect anthem for the clubs.

The Meji Alabi directed accompanying visuals finds the two artists on a beach in Lagos, as they casually bring the party to the retro-inspired, multiple modes video

The video sees Wizkid with Skepta and his crew hanging out first at the beach and then the club. It’s all good vibes as no bad energy is allowed here.

Music video: Nicki Minaj – “Barbie Dreams”

American singer and Hip-Hop queen Nicki Minaj has droped brand new hot sizzling visuals titled “Barbie Dreams” Starring Puppets of Lil Wayne, 6ix9ine.

“Barbie Dreams” is a re-make of the Notorious B.I.G.’s 1993 track “Just Playing (Dreams).” The visual follows Nicki’s recent videos for “Ganja Burn,” her 6ix9ine-collaboration “FEFE,” the Ariana Grande-featuring “Bed,” and “Chun-Li.”

Earlier today, Nicki called out Cardi B on a new episode of “Queen Radio” following their altercation at New York Fashion Week. Nicki recently the postponed North American leg of her planned tour with Future.

The NICKIHNDRXX Tour will now begin in Europe in February 2019. Future will no longer join Nicki for the North American shows, tentatively slated for May 2019.

Afrobeats music video: KCee ft. Tekno – “Boo”

A few months ago, it seemed like KCee had ditched the mic and ventured into modelling, with the hilariously bad photos of him scantily-clad in the woods. Well, it looks like he’s put a pin in that and come back to music, as he’s just released a song with Tekno titled “Boo”.

Even with the Krizbeatz-produced track’s uninspired production and haphazard lyrics, it’s still pretty obvious that of all of the songs Kcee has released this year from “Akonuche” to “Bullion Squad” this one certainly works the best.

Perhaps he has Tekno to thank for that, and that should come as no surprise, as Tekno always delivers. That being said, we don’t think “Boo” will make the rounds, as it’s not particularly memorable. We give it a few months before it inevitably fades away.

Music video: DVSN – “Morning After”

DVSN shares a dangerous love story in the video for “Morning After.”

Taking place in Mexico City, the lo-fi visual showcases the relationship between a Bonnie and Clyde-like duo, whose love only grows stronger throughout time. It opens with them as kids, and follows them to present day, still on the run before things take a bloody turn.

“Tell me what it’s gonna take for you to stay,” sings Daniel Daley. “You ain’t gotta do a thing / No you can just lay here with me tonight / You can just lay here, roll up and stay here.”

“Morning After” is the title track off dvsn’s stellar sophomore album, which features previous singles “Think About Me,” “Don’t Choose,” and “Mood.”

Next up, the duo of Daniel Daley and Nineteen85 will join Miguel on “The Ascension Tour,” which kicks off Aug. 23 in Boston.
